I might be the biggest slacker of all time. Well, as far as this blog is concerned. I haven't posted nearly enough in so long. I have been so caught up with everything else going on that I haven't put the time aside to do what I love most, write!
I have always loved writing. When I was little my goal and aspirations were to become an Author. Someday I may still do that ;) I may even share (with photos) some of the little books I used to write growing up. As I got older I even wrote "real" stories. I think I secretly always wanted to be Nancy Drew, I loved her. I even collected all the original Nancy Drew books. I totally still have them in my garage. That's one of the sad things about having boys.... who is going to want my Nancy Drew collection!? I got a lot of those original books from my mom, which she read when she was little. So attention sisters: HAVE A GIRL... nowww ;)
But besides my love for writing... I have a love for children, so combine the two and tahh dahh : Moms In Heels. Some of my favorite things all in one: moms, writing, heels... Oh yes, Jeff is also on that list which is why he has a page: The Jeffrey Journal -clever name I know ;)
Well I feel like I have to catch all of you up on what is going on in our lives. There is so much to say that I will do it over a series of posts. I will start with this: Braxton Joseph is 8 months old. Yes, you heard me, 8 MONTHS. Holy crap is right... where does time go!? I can't even believe it. He is crawling like a mad man, standing up on everything in sight, trying to sneak up the stairs and he puts everything known to man kind in his mouth.

Colton and him have had their first real "interactions" now. The other day Colton said "Braxton come here, I'll show you" and waved him over and sure enough Brax crawled right over to see what he was doing. It was so cute. I can't wait for them to be able to really play together. Two adorable little guys and the best of friends.
Colton will be 3 in February. Yes, that is even crazier! I have a 3 year old?! Whoa, that IS crazy. He is seriously a chatter box. The kid never stops talking! Which is okay because if you know me- I love to talk... soo it's no surprise that he is the same way. I will just keep in mind that he will get in trouble in every class growing up for talking too much, story of my life at Toledo Christian School. So it's okay buddy, I feel your pain, you just want to talk to everyone.

Cutest Colton story I can think of right now is how the other night I was taking a bath and I asked him play for a little while. Earlier in the day I had set out a nice big plate of home made Christmas cookies & Buckeyes for my neighbor Wilma, who Colton absolutely loves. So I'm in the bathroom, Colton comes running in- chocolate all over his face, his mouth so full he couldn't even chew. He manages to swallow and he says "Mommy! Buckeyes good!!" I immediantly was like ohhh no, he ate the buckeyes. Then I see sprinkles on his cheeks. He is just getting good at trying to put sentences together so he says "Eat cookies. Green plate. Wilma's. Yummy!" I couldn't even be mad because he was seriously so cute. I simply got up and walked out to the kitchen to see how many he had really eaten. Of course he had taken a bite out of every single cookie and ate about 3 buckeyes, with a bite taken out of the remainder of them. So Wilma if you're reading this, that's why you haven't gotten cookies yet.
I hope you are all having a great holiday season! I will start posting more regularly. Thanks for being the best readers ever :)
xx- Lisa
